Project Description
The Rotary Club of Kathmandu completed constructing a gender-specific toilet block at Shree Dhawalagiri Birendra Secondary School, Baglung.
The facility includes two separate sanitation spaces and a handwashing station. This project will benefit over 354 students and the local community, promoting better hygiene and a healthier learning environment.
By ensuring access to proper toilet facilities, the initiative is expected to increase school attendance among girls during their menstrual periods and help every child learn with dignity and confidence. The worth of the project is NRs. 410,800. It is the joint collaboration of Rotary Club of Kathmandu, Rotary Club of Baglung and BE&L Committee RID 3292.
