Project Description
Rotary Club of Bhaktapur successfully organized an Emergency Blood Donation Program on 17th April 2026 at Dattatraya, Bhaktapur, Nepal, in response to an urgent need for blood support in the community. The program was conducted with the active participation and support of Rotaract Club of Kathmandu Medical College–Duwakot and Rotaract Club of Bhaktapur.
The blood donation campaign was organized under the message “Your One Drop Can Be Someone’s Hope” with the objective of encouraging voluntary blood donation and supporting emergency healthcare needs. Rotarians, Rotaractors, volunteers, and local community members actively participated in the program, demonstrating the spirit of humanitarian service and social responsibility.
A total of 23 units of blood were successfully collected during the program. To support donors and volunteers, refreshments including fruits, juice, and lunch were provided. Tent management and additional support were generously facilitated by Rtn. Dasarath Prajapati, contributing significantly to the successful management of the event.
The program effectively promoted awareness regarding the importance of regular blood donation and reinforced Rotary’s commitment toward saving lives through community service initiatives.
